The work of the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) team includes the analysis of crucial physical flow phenomena such as turbulence, pressure fluctuations, phase transitions, particle and mass transport, as well as convection. The CFD specialists working for Semcon assist our clients in any work involving flow analysis, for example:

• Aeroelasticity
• Lift/drag simulation
• Soiling
• Brake/engine cooling
• Comfort issues and climate control
• Design of fuel, intake and exhaust systems.

In addition, Semcon is the right partner for developing methods. An example is the study of highly dynamic flow of gases in airbags. Our specialists are working hard to develop and apply new methods, such as the substitution of OpenFoam for commercial codes.
