Case: Visualization of Electrolux Design Lab competition

The assignment: Semcon’s task was to give life to Electrolux’s ‘Electrolux Design Lab’ competition – to visualize what our homes will look like and how we’ll be using household appliances in 2050. Electrolux Design Lab invited industrial design students from all over the world to take part with their interpretations of how well be living in the future.

The solution: For Semcon the project was just as much a communications assignment as a design assignment. Semcon not only provided the customer with physical models of the finalists, but also with nine animations, images, CGI material, a film about the competition entries plus marketing and exhibition material.

The result: The models was exhibited all over the world and information about the competition and about Electrolux’s vision of the future reached more than 190 million people in printed material alone.
