Xin Situ and Zhao Jibing
Team Leaders and project managers
Xin Situ and Zhao Jibing have been part of Semcon's Chinese journey from the start. They have themselves made a journey in their careers, from technical writing to project management.
Xin Situ and Zhao Jibing saw a Semcon job ad six years ago and don't regret that they responded.
“The corporate culture here gives me the opportunity to constantly develop,” says Xin.
Like Zhao, he has worked his way up from technical writer to team leader and project manager at Semcon's Beijing office. This has been done with the help of training at work and good dialogue between managers and employees.
“At Semcon in China, we want to have a more democratic approach than many local businesses, and enable employees to talk to and criticize their managers,” says Xin.
Semcon has huge potential in China, where it operates in rapidly expanding areas such as the telecommunications and automotive industries. They are therefore constantly looking for new talent:
“Both young talent and older experts apply to Semcon, and we have a diverse age-range and a good talent pool,” says Zhao.
Zhao appreciates the opportunity to meet different customers and cultures at work. He is convinced that he can get even better at his duties, such as assessing projects and putting together the right teams:
“Semcon provides a platform for personal development for managers and experts alike, as well as technical writers,” he says.
What Xin likes most about his work is the chance to use his knowledge in different areas while being able to learn something new, in that Semcon projects are extremely diverse.
“We have taken on projects involving areas like telecommunications, broadband, hardware, software and optical devices,” he says.
